About Max.

Hello. Hi. Welcome.

If you’re here that means you are taking steps to support your mental health. That’s HUGE. This can be the hardest part for some people. Somewhere along the line, we learned it is not ok to ask for help. But there is no need to go it alone. As humans we are wired for connection. In many situations we actually need relationships and community to come to know who we truly are. So let’s begin.

My name is Max (he/they), and my journey to becoming a therapist began, as many do, with my own healing journey. I was working a stressful job in a big city, and after many years of holding it all in and pushing through, everything caught up with me. My life fell apart. My mental and physical health showed the wear, but every doctor I went to told me they couldn’t find anything wrong. This led me to explore other routes: bodywork, yoga, meditation, and later dance, martial arts, and other movement practices. Eventually, my interest in the mind-body connection led me to my studies at Naropa in Somatic Counseling and further training in Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy.

All these practices and teachings in movement and stillness supported me in coming home to myself and finding freedom in my movement, expression, and being. And doing the work with others made it real. Now, I work with people to support them to do the same. So if you’re ready, let’s do this together.
